I honestly don't know.
I've never needed to know as I haven't written console programs since the 70s.  ;)
I'll have a look see

I tried to find something in the help file but could only find SETFONT which is used by windows programs. I couldn't see anything for Console but there should be some way to do it.

Thanks Larry

If you run your console program and click on the icon then select defaults you have some control over fonts, text size and colors.  This leads me to believe that you can control console windows with the window API..

Hi John! CIB seems to be rockin' again.

How do you set the output font in a console program?
Unless IWB offers any native functions for this, like PureBasic does, you'd have to invoke API functions, namely:

1. SetCurrentConsoleFontEx
2. SetConsoleTextAttribute

However, I wouldn't know how to implement it in IWB.

Hope Larry could help.  ;)

WOW!  Glad to see you back Syed.  I thought I would give IWB a shot but I wanted to try a little console programming with it first before trying the windows stuff.   (Memories of the old DOS days.  :) ). I find it a bit odd that there is no command to set the font family and/or color in IWB.  I am not keen on the default font that it uses. A uppercase letter "V" resembles a "U".  I noticed that right away while testing a simple program that displayed my callsign VE3JOC.

Did you notice that I finally installed a chat program that works with this forum?

Good to see you again Syed.

Cheers,

John

Glad to be back, John. And yes; I did notice the chat feature.

I'd love to help out with IWB, but I don't own a copy, so any offered solutions would simply be best-guesses.  :D

That's fine Syed.  I have not given up on Purebasic, (I like it a lot),  but since I purchased IWB I thought that I would give it a go.
